The MISP two-day intensive course is a very complete course with an internationally approved curriculum shared by all MISP Trainers.  This includes learning the unique MISP massage routine, child development, scientific knowledge, as well as the basis for bringing the idea of touch and movement for learning into all schools subjects.

With the two-day course every instructor receives a very comprehensive workbook that becomes a basic tool for the succcessful implementation of the programme.

Once the course has been completed successfully, the participant is given the MISP Instructor Certificate, allowing the implementation of the MISP programme within classrooms in the presence of children, and within communities with children and their parents.

ProfileKate Pigeon-Owen is a working mother of two children and owns a company called Childways. The mission of which is to provide trainings and workshops to promote nurturing touch and improve communication between individuals. Kate has been an Instructor for the International Association of Infant Massage for seven years and co-ordinating their trainings for four years. Kate trained to be an instructor with the MISP in 2002 since which she has been promoting MISP strongly and is now a trainer.



Kate was a also founder member of a small independent school in Suffolk where nurturing touch was woven in the fabric of the whole school. The associated Parent and Toddler groups provide baby massage classes and the Kindergarten and Lower School have the MISP as part of it curriculum.



Kate believes passionately in the power of nurturing touch and is striving to promote the benefits of touch in every primary school in the UK ensuring that MISP is part of the daily curriculum.
